Girls Teams Coaches
Coach Dan
Coach Dan has been on the field with VLC for 5 seasons. He has coached both G8/G10s and G12/G14, so he understands the progression of skill development and the importance of fun & motivating practices. With one daughter now on the varsity girls team who went all the way through VLC, and one daughter on year 5 of playing with VLC, Coach Dan has spent nearly 10 years either in the stands or on the sidelines learning girls lacrosse!
Coach Garett
Coach Brandon
This will be Coach Brandon's fourth year coaching lacrosse. He started with coaching the G10’s for 2 years and now is starting his 2nd year helping coach the G14’s. Brandon has 2 girls and 1 boy playing lacrosse with VLC. Brandon has enjoyed learning the sport of lacrosse from the other coaches and the players. It is fun to see the girls progression from year to year. Lacrosse season has turned into a family favorite in his household.
Coach Jessamy
Coach Kia
Coach Kia is excited to return for her second season coaching girls lacrosse for VLC. She started learning about lacrosse in the stands 4 years ago and it has become a family sport with both of her children playing and her husband, Eric, also coaching! Her coaching emphasizes player confidence, love for the game and mastering fundamental skills.
Coach Kim
This will be Kim's second year as an assistant lacrosse coach, and her daughter Lucy’s 3rd year playing with VLC. Kim has enjoyed learning about the game as a parent and now as a coach. She finds it so rewarding to guide the girls as they learn the game! Kim's goal as a coach is for the girls to have fun learning the game while developing as both individual players and as a team. Looking forward to a great season. Go Wildcats!
Coach Dustin
Coach Dustin is entering his 3rd year coaching youth lacrosse. He has coached the U12 boys’ team for the past two seasons and is excited to begin his first year with the U12 girls. Coach Dustin is passionate about teaching the game and focuses on developing both strong players and great people through teamwork, effort, and respect.

Coach Karen
Karen is excited to start her first season coaching girls lacrosse. She played from first grade through high school and is looking forward to being a mentor to the girls and sharing her love of the sport.
Coach Alicia
This is Alicia's first year coaching lacrosse! However, she has coached a variety of sports over many years and teaches private music lessons. Her children keep her busy with a variety of sports including hockey, baseball, softball, soccer, flag football, and swim team. Alicia enjoys camping, hiking, and gardening. She stays busy on a small hobby farm growing produce for their farmstand and collecting animals that need a good home.
Boys Teams Coaches
Coach Tyler
Tyler has 4 years of coaching experience with Verona Lacrosse. Currently serving as the 8U Verona Lacrosse coach and President of the Verona Lacrosse Association, he also works as a Senior Manager of Well-being and Engagement at Acrisure. Tyler focuses on player development, offensive skills, and lacrosse IQ. He coaches to grow the love of the game at a young age and to teach lessons that extend beyond lacrosse.
Coach Jack
Jack has been involved in lacrosse more than 25 years. His philosophy is centered on the belief that the sport is most rewarding when it is rooted in fun, camaraderie, and brotherhood. He aims to ensure that every player has a meaningful experience both on and off the field. A 2006 graduate of Middleton High School, Jack went on to play at UW-Milwaukee, where he served as Club President and Team Captain from 2007 to 2011. His coaching background includes work at the youth and high school levels in the Milwaukee area, as well as several years as a counselor at various lacrosse camps across Wisconsin. A self-described "lax rat," Jack’s passion for the game has remained a constant since first picking up a stick. He is excited to join the Verona Lacrosse Club this season and looks forward to working with the young Wildcat players.
Coach Matt W.
Matt has his Silver Coaching Certification from USA Lacrosse. This will be his 10th year coaching youth lacrosse, and 8th year coaching for Verona Lacrosse Club. His coaching days started in Strasburg, PA when his oldest son was in 2nd grade. Matt has coached, in some capacity, every youth age group from 6u up to 14u. His coaching philosophy centers around creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for young players to learn the amazing sport of lacrosse. His goals are to teach and build on the fundamentals and foster a love of the game.
Coach Duncan
Duncan has coached lacrosse at the 6/8U-10U level for the past 5 years and has recently taken on the role of Youth Boys Co-Director. He has also coached basketball, baseball, flag-football and soccer in Verona for kids ranging from Pre-K – 6th grade. Duncan grew up playing basketball, football, soccer & track, and now has the pleasure of coaching & watching his own kids play sports they love. In 2012, Duncan and his family moved to Verona where his 3 active kids ages 8, 11, & 14 stay busy with a number of sports. When they're not at practices, games, or tournaments, they can typically be found outside doing something sports related.
Coach Derek
2026 will be Derek's second year coaching with VLC. However, he has been coaching youth sports for over 10 years in the Verona area with his four kids. Outside of coaching, Derek can be found camping, hiking or enjoying a warm, sunny day.
Coach Jon
Jon is entering his second year of coaching with VLC. He is no stranger to the sport of boys lacrosse having played in junior high and volunteered at many lacrosse tournaments and events in the past. Jon is from Verona and brings with him experience teaching kids in academic environments as well.
Coach B
Although Anil is newer to the game of lacrosse, he is not new to coaching! Over the last few years, he has coached youth sports such as soccer, baseball, and softball, with an emphasis on having fun and bringing out his team's best effort! Anil and his family have lived in Verona for the last 11 years. When his is not carting the kids around to all their activities, he can be found on a golf course or in the backyard grilling.
Coach Drake
Coach Drake moved to Wisconsin from Syracuse, NY in October. As a goalie for Fayetteville-Manlius High School, he helped his team to an undefeated regular season and the Section III Championship game in 2013. That next year he and his team won that championship game and made it to the NY State Championship game. Coach Drake played for Keuka College, a division III school. He led his conference in Goals Against Average in 2016 and received a Most Improved Player Award.
Coach Matt M
This will be Coach Matt's 6th season coaching lacrosse. You can find him coaching the 14U Verona boys' team and volunteering on the VLC board as vice president. Coach Matt discovered lacrosse later in high school and played in college on the UW- Madison club team. Matt's coaching skills go beyond lacrosse. He also coached the last 8 seasons with Verona Youth Hockey Association, so he can definitely be spotted at the rink! Matt is passionate about encouraging kids to discover the 'fastest sport on two legs.'
