Girls Spring Registration

Verona Lacrosse Club offers recreational lacrosse to girls in kindergarten through 8th grade. During the regular spring season, players develop skills, teamwork, and confidence through age- appropriate practices run by experienced coaches and competitive yet fun games and tournaments with other recreational lacrosse teams in the Badgerland Lacrosse Association.

NEW THIS SEASON: Verona Lacrosse Club will offer G8 level (Kindergarten to 2nd grade) players the chance to learn and play with other SAME LEVEL TEAMS! Badgerland Lacrosse Association has developed a co-op program for G8 level players. If numbers demand, VLC's G8 players will join with other area clubs to create co-op teams allowing for better targeted skill development and safer, age- matched games. BLA is providing FREE eye cages and sticks for G8 players to use during the season.

Ages

We offer recreational teams for girls in Kindergarten through 8th grade. No experience necessary!

The youngest players in Kindergarten through second grade, G8 level, will participate with their age matched level this season!

When

Our teams begin practice in late March/ early April. Our season typically wraps up the first week in June.

G8 Teams will begin practice April 20 and end June 1.

Where

Our girls teams practice on the lower field at New Century Charter School/VAIS. Games are generally played in the Badgerland area, with occasional tournaments within 1.5 hour drive.

G8 may practice as part of a co-op with other area clubs to form team. Field location is TBD.

Practices

Our girls teams practice 2 times per week outdoors, weather permitting. Occasional practice indoors if necessary. Typically practices are held on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5 - 6:30 (subject to change based on coaches availability).

G8 practices will be held 2 times per week for 1.5 hours. Days/times TBD if co-op participation occurs.

Games

Our girls teams play games most weekends during the season, with 2 - 3 tournaments built in. Games are generally scheduled on Saturdays between 8 AM and 2PM, with 2 games within those hours.

G8 will have inter- squad scrimmages as appropriate to learn game play.

Jerseys

Our girls must purchase player packs during alternating seasons, which include their pinnie (jersey) and shorts required for games. New players and returning players in need of replacements may purchase items during "off season" within the registration.

G8 players participating in the co-op program will use a red pinnie provided by BLA.

Extra Costs

G10 - G14 levels may purchase rental equipment for $25 within registration, if needed. Some teams to celebrate their season at a picnic, with cost ranging from an additional $5 - $10 per participant.
